Mahleb Biscotti

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp BRY Foods ground mahleb
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- Optional: ½ cup chopped pistachios or almonds
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and mahleb.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add vanilla and oil.

Add wet ingredients to dry and mix until combined. Fold in nuts if using.

Divide dough in half and shape into two logs (~2 inches wide) on the baking sheet. Flatten slightly.

Bake for 25 minutes, until lightly golden. Let cool for 10 minutes.

Slice logs diagonally into ½-inch thick biscotti. Place slices cut-side down on the sheet.

Bake again for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crisp.

Cool completely before serving. Enjoy with tea or coffee!
